The Healing Garden

Piedmont Athens Regional Auxiliary Healing Garden

Located off Talmadge drive (behind the Loran Smith Center for Cancer Support) the Piedmont Athens Regional Auxiliary Healing Garden is designed to promote the health of body, mind and spirit. This space is open to Piedmont Athens Regional patients, visitors, employees and community members and is part of our mission to make a positive difference in every life we touch. The Garden is a place of rest, recreation and reflection; an escape from illness and stress; and a sanctuary of sacred memories and inspired dreams and visions.

Within the 3 acres of PAR Auxiliary Healing Garden, you may find a Meditation Garden (featuring a labyrinth), pollinator garden and children’s playscape.

With vision and leadership from Mona Taylor, the garden was dedicated on May 15, 2002. On June 22, 2017 the Healing Garden was named for the Piedmont Athens Regional Auxiliary in recognitions of the dedication and financial support of its members.
